In short
- The app collects nothing about you. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no crash reporting.
- Your settings and saved patches live on your own computer and are never uploaded.
- It touches the network only when you choose Check for Updates yourself.
What the app stores, and where
Your settings and your saved patches live on your own device, in the ordinary places an app keeps its preferences, and in any files you choose to save yourself. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app removes them.
The one time the app uses the network
The app can contact the internet in exactly one situation: when you choose Check for Updates from its menu. That asks this website, codonic.dev, which version is the newest, so the app can tell you whether yours is current.
It happens only when you ask for it. Nothing is checked in the background. The request contains no personal information and nothing about how you use the app.
codonic.dev is served through Cloudflare, which, like any web host, sees the request and the network address it came from as ordinary server traffic.
Older versions of the app ask GitHub instead of codonic.dev. The same rules apply there: user-initiated only, nothing personal in the request.
Third-party code
The app is built with the JUCE framework and includes the Upright Piano KW samples from the FreePats project, released into the public domain under CC0. Neither collects data through the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this same address with a new “last updated” date above. The address does not change.
